Come along and join the Society along with the Celtic Council of Australia Queensland, to celebrate the inauguration of the Standing Stones Celtic Nations Monument CELTIC COUNCIL OF AUSTRALIA (Qld) Inc. cordially invites you to attend this historic event to celebrate installation of the Standing Stones Celtic Nations Monument in Moorlands Park, 503 Coronation Drive, Auchenflower, Brisbane. CCAQ is very proud of this wonderful Celtic Nations Monument, honoured to be able to present this to the city of Brisbane, and wishes to thank and acknowledge all those who have supported and helped to realise a dream. The Society donated to this cause in 2019 and is very happy to see this project realised. Free admission!

Celebrate the life and work of Premier William Forgan Smith (1932-1942).

In many respects, Premier Forgan Smith was the architect for our modern Queensland. His vision for regional development and rural industries, public infrastructure, energy supply, water policy, and the establishment of the St Lucia campus of The University of Queensland and four key faculties has impacted the lives of all Queenslanders. His achievements are even more extraordinary given he was Premier during the Great Depression and World War 2. His legacy will be analysed and celebrated by a distinguished panel.
