Bannockburn Luncheon 2026
United Service Club Queensland

Join the Society of St Andrew of Scotland (Queensland) for a spirited and traditional Battle of Bannockburn Luncheon, commemorating Scotland’s defining victory in 1314.
Raise a glass in honour of King Robert the Bruce and the brave Scots
who fought for freedom at Bannockburn!

Talk by Dr Denver Beanland AM on the Scottish influence in Queensland politics
Dr Beanland is a former Councillor of the City of Brisbane, a former Member of State Parliament,
Attorney General, and Leader of the State Liberal Party
He is also recognised as a historian of Queensland of note and has served as President of the Royal Historical Society of Queensland. His PhD was on the former Queensland Premier Thomas McIlwraith (at various times between 1879 and 1883)

Standing Stones Celtic Nations Monument
CELTIC COUNCIL OF AUSTRALIA (Qld) Inc. cordially invites you to attend this historic event to celebrate installation of the Standing Stones Celtic Nations Monument in Moorlands Park, 503 Coronation Drive, Auchenflower, Brisbane.
CCAQ is very proud of this wonderful Celtic Nations Monument, honoured to be able to present this to the city of Brisbane, and wishes to thank and acknowledge all those who have supported and helped to realise a dream.
The Society donated to this cause in 2019 and is very happy to see this project realised.
